Annuities Roundtable
Held semi-annually since 2012, the Annuities meetings are in-person events that are focused on trends, opportunities, issues, and developments related to the sale and use of annuities through registered financial advisors and investment advisers.  Channel-specific meetings are held in the first half of the year, followed by a cross-channel meeting in the second half of the year.    
Attendees include executives from bank, credit union, wirehouse, national, regional and independent broker-dealers along with third-party broker-dealers supporting these channels as well as other industry experts, including representatives from insurance companies, service providers, marketing organizations and other related firms.


Fee-Based Annuity Roundtable
The Fee-Based Annuity meeting is an in-person event designed to promote the sharing of best practices and strategies related to offering annuities in a fee-based advisory model. This meeting takes a deep dive into the many considerations for these products.
Attendees include executives from bank, credit union, wirehouse, national, regional, and independent broker-dealer/RIA firms as well as other industry experts, including representatives from insurance companies, service providers, marketing organizations, and other related firms.


Insurance Distribution Roundtable
The Insurance Distribution in-person meetings are events designed to promote the sharing of best practices and strategies related to supporting the sales of life, LTC and disability insurance through registered financial advisors and investment advisers.
Attendees include executives from bank, credit union, wirehouse, national, regional, and independent broker-dealer firms as well as other industry experts, including representatives from insurance companies, service providers, marketing organizations, and other related firms.


Insurance & Annuity Executive Roundtable
Our Executive meeting is an invitation-only in-person event for senior executives at large/sophisticated financial services firms with responsibilities for the annuity and/or insurance businesses. This session uses a different format than our other in-person roundtable meetings, therefore we limit the number of sponsoring firms and employ a different sponsorship cost. This one-day meeting session is held in the third quarter of each year and is focused on discussing high-level strategies, initiatives, and plans for the upcoming year.

Who attends the Saltzman Associates Roundtables?

We are fortunate to regularly host some of the most influential organizations in our industry at our roundtable meetings. Attendees typically include executives from broker-dealers, banks, and credit unions who are tasked with providing guidance and solutions to this critical need for their firm’s clients. We also include other industry experts, including representatives from insurance companies, asset managers, service providers, marketing organizations, and other related firms. 

 
What does it cost to attend?

Ready for this? Thanks to the support of our sponsors, there is No Charge to attend a Saltzman Associates Roundtable for qualified attendees. Complimentary items include accommodations at the host property for the days of the event, all event-related food and beverages, and travel reimbursement of up to $700.  Reimbursements will be processed after the event for those who have attended.

Can I attend more than one Roundtable?

Absolutely!  The way we plan our meetings, most topics are held two times a year, allowing for industry updates to be relevant and conversations to progress. We encourage all our participants to attend any of our meetings relevant to their business.

Should I make my own travel arrangements

We allow our attendees to make their own travel arrangements to accommodate your personal schedule better. Feel free to contact us to confirm the dates and times needed to be there. Refer to our travel reimbursement policy for more details.

Do I need to make my own hotel reservation?

No, we will do that for you. Information regarding your lodging needs will be asked during your online registration and from that, your reservation will be made. Please do not contact the hotel directly, a block of rooms has already been reserved for our group.

May I arrive early or extend my hotel stay?

Yes, if there is availability at the hotel. If you would like to extend your stay, we are happy to assist you with those arrangements—however, the costs associated with the extra days will be your responsibility. Often, we can secure discounted rates for the extra day(s) you might need. During the registration process, please ensure that you include your additional dates, and someone will contact you to confirm the availability of your request.

What is the travel reimbursement policy?

Representatives from broker-dealers, banks, and credit unions will be reimbursed for travel expenses up to $700 to attend our meetings. During the meeting, all meals are complimentary and hotel accommodations (excluding incidentals) are included for the evening of the meeting. Hotel accommodations for the group have been arranged at the hotel where the meeting is held. Details regarding your stay will be collected through our online registration process. Accordingly, there is no need to contact the hotel directly.

What is the time format of the meeting?

Generally, our roundtables start at noon with a group lunch and end the following day at 1:00 pm. The first day will include lunch, a general session, a reception, and a group dinner. The second day will start with a group breakfast followed by the general session and a group lunch. The times for individual events may vary, so please check the time format listed for each meeting on its related page on our website.

What should I wear?

Meeting attire is business casual.

Any themed or formal events requiring alternate attire, such as gentleman's jackets, will be detailed in the preliminary agenda. We recommend dressing in layers as indoor temperatures and individual comfort vary.

How do you decide the agenda topics?

Our roundtable agendas are developed in conjunction with the meeting attendees so that all participants have an opportunity to gain insights from the discussion by contributing their perspectives and experiences, as well as being able to ask their peers questions. We work in concert with our attendees to construct an agenda focused on current opportunities, issues, and performance results.
